I'm really missing my Legos today. I can't wait to start a family so I can break out all the cool Legos again.
We had it all, my brothers and I. I mean, seriously. David had the castles and kings, I took care of the Islanders and Pirates (Renegade Runner, the smaller ship), and Daniel had the space aliens and fighter pilots. Together, we also built a small town with a hospital, a pizzeria, a school, an airport, a seaport, a train station, and the zoo was one of my favorite parts, though we had to use Duplo animals in addition to the small selection of Lego animals. Ah, and we had the space ship launching pad and control room. We lacked nothing. O happy days.
I really wish I had an office full of Legos today.
Wow... that reminds me of all the lego creations Erik, Larissa and I used to make. We really got into seaports, including making cloth sails for our ships, and at one point had a full blown oil rig out at sea. I wanted to enter some of the ships in a Lego building contest, but because we'd used cloth and string in addition to legos (how can you have sails and rigging without it those essentials?) my ships couldn't count.
If I had an office full of Legos I wouldn't get anything else done, unless I could convince my boss to let me design our traffic signal improvements with the toys. :)
